Firstly, I wanted to mention a few things I’ve been loving from Mac, throughout the month of June. The majority of these were actually birthday presents from my best friend, Rhiannon, so I have her to thank for these great products. Three eye shadows I have not stopped using are Rule, Red Brick and Chrome Yellow; they might look scary in the palette but they actually blend beautifully into pretty much any warm eye shadow look. Another product I’ve been loving is the Vanilla pigment; use it on your brow bone, tear duct, cheekbone, cupids bow or even mix it in with your foundation. However you use it, it looks gorgeous!
Lastly I wanted to mention the Prep + Prime BB cream. For me, its the perfect contour shade that blends beautifully into the skin. This product does contain SPF so best to avoid using this during the evening when you’re planning to take photos, otherwise you’ll get that dreaded flashback!
I picked up these products whilst attending IMATS in London at the beginning of the June. This Make Up Forever HD foundation looks surprisingly natural on the skin and provides a medium build-able coverage that lasts throughout the day. They offer a vast amount of colour options in different undertones, ranging from the super fair/light to deeper shades. We must of been standing at the counter for a good 10 minutes debating what shade would be the best match for us! I also picked up one of the Make Up Forever Star Eyeshadow Powders. It doesn’t look like much in the pot but this silky powder catches the light beautifully to give an intense iridescent glow.
You’ve all probably heard about the Ben Nye Banana powder that Kim K uses but now they’ve brought out another luxury powder with a sparkle. I tend to use this over the high points of my face or dust it lightly over my arms and legs on an night out for intensified glam. I warn you it is an intense highlight but I love looking like a beautifully glazed doughnut!
